Dry Creek Operating Lease

I recently had a leasing request from Dry Creek Operating for my mineral rights in this section. What is going on? Grady county 34 6N 7W

Camino has rigs drilling horizontal wells in 13/24/25 just to the NE of you. I do not see any filed leases in the last 24 months in 34, but there are many leases across the township. They range from 1/8th, to 1/4th. I suspect Camino or Continental will be the operator. If you have not leased before, it is wise to get a good oil and gas attorney to look at any draft lease as the they are not in the mineral owner’s favor and need improvements. You can also wait to see if there is force pooling which is a viable alternative to leasing.

Thanks Martha, I have leased this mineral right before, It seems to be a very good offer, so I am a little leery,

Watch the language on the lease. They are drilling infill wells on the ones to the NE of you. You do not want post production charges!

Not sure if my question got through… We have minerals in 13,24,18 and 19… We have leases with Camino and Continental. How close to being done are these wells in 13 and 24? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, April

It is 6N 7W Thanks!!

There are 3 Camino leased rigs. Two are drilling 2 wells each from section 13 into section 24 (North to South)). The other rig is also drilling 2 wells; 1 from section 24 into section 25 (GRANT 0607 24-25-1UXH); and 1 from section 24 into section 13 (TYLER 0607 24-13-3WXH). All in 6N-7W. 6 total wells. All rigs still drilling.

A general rule of thumb in that area (13,24,25 set) is about a year from spud to pay plus or minus a month or so. They will probably get them all drilled and then come in and do a zipper frac to save time and money. Then it takes about five months to run the title for the division orders. They have to pay 180 days from first sales.

You do not have to sign a DO in OK to get paid, but you do need to give them a W-9. Look up “letter in Lieu of Division order” on the forum for example letter.

You can watch for the frac info on www.fracfocus.org. Use the advanced search option.

Do you have the SPUD date on these? Thanks!

Martha, the lease does not have a post production clause. I still have a hard time beliveing it is so rich: 1/4 royalty and $1,250 bonus. !

Spud Dates:

2/14 Tyler 0607#13-24-1UXH (Boatwright, Black Marker, Horsefly Formations)

2/15 Tyler 0607#13-24-2MXH (Mississippian Formation)

3/4 Tyler 0607#13-24-4MXH (Mississippian Formation)

3/5 Tyler 0607#13-24-5WXH (Woodford Formation)

3/17 Grant 0607#24-25-1UXH (Boatwright, Black Marker, Horsefly Formations)

3/18 Tyler 0607#24-13-3WXH (Woodford Formation)

Section 12 6N 7W… I was offered 1/4 royalty and $1,500 bonus from another company. After lengthy negotiations they would not agree to no post production charges in the lease. I didn’t walk away from the lease… I ran!!! lol
