Hello Everyone,
First time on site so forgive me if I am unsure of the rules. Please tell me if I’m asking the wrong info.
We own mineral rights Township 6 North, Range 62 West, 6th PM, Section 25: E/2 SE/4
I thought it was under an EOG drilling permit, but we’ve also seen paperwork re: Bill Barrett.
There used to be a great site (ESER?) that had a map of the county with all well sites shown and their status (inactive/permitted/producing) shown. I hadn’t tried to access it in a while and when I tried this week it wasn’t available. Does anyone know 1) status of this area and/or 2) how to get to that site again? It was very very handy.
One other question. When I was looking at the recent production results for Jake (and don’t we all wish we owned Jake?) it showed a high quantity of “flare.” Does that mean that’s all gas that is burned off? Sorry if that’s a dumb question, but it seemed odd and also the amounts shown as sold seemed very low. Just figured I’d ask the pros about this.
Thanks!
Barb S
There is a good state of Colorado website that shows all of the wells and activity. Here is a brief “how to”.
How to see a property on the COGCC website.
- On the internet go to: cogcc.state.co.us
- On the left hand menu, click on “Maps”
- Click on “GIS online”
- On the top menu bar click on “Zoom”
- Enter 10N57W and click on “Zoom to”
- On the left menu, click on the box for “Directionals”
If you want to move around (east/west/north/south) from the area shown, click on the “hand” icon on the top menu bar (pan mode). If you just want to see a larger or smaller area, use the wheel on your mouse.
Thanks so much, Ed. I’ll give it a try today. b
