Based on the drilling rates, the costs and the time all this takes many leases in Dewitt County will expire before the end of the primary term in my view. Mineral owners will not receive any production revenues for outstanding leases if the leases expire. if you do not have a two year option attached to your lease, I suggest you not sign one.
The operators cannot keep up with drilling there current leases. It might be advantageous to sign a new lease with another lease bonus with another operator who is not over loaded already so you can experience some production revenues.
