Does anyone know how to be informed about new drilling permits as they are issued in Reeves County?

Rrc.state.tx.us is RRC website. Select Data -:online research. Select Drilling Permits - launch application. You can search by county. At bottom of page, you can choose Approved Date or Submitted Date range. The submitted date is by date permit is filed. The approved date is after review and approval by RRC. You can also add operator for more limited search. But then if your lessee is not the operator, you will miss a permit. I suggest using application date to stay in front and later look at approval to see if anything has changed. Keep checking the permit and when drilling starts, a bar opens at top of page which will list spud date. This is a good way to keep up with your property and only takes a few minutes each day. Start a well file and print the plat, permit, completion reports, and other information for your records.
