Go to Stephens County and search the modify search select 2013.
Bearcat Land did a lot leasing in 2013. Maybe the link above will show you some folks you know. No active wells showing in OCC.

There is nothing active now. There is some activity to both the north and to the east about 4 miles. If you have not already leased or been contacted some time ago, you may have marketable title issues. I’d guess that area should have some activity in the next year or two.
Marketable title issues? My cousin signed a lease with Bearcat months ago but I haven’t received anything although I’ve given current contact info. We also have some area at 20-2S-5W- it’s a lot to try and figure out! Thank you so much for responding!

There are no active wells in Section 20, Township 02S, Range 05W. Do you and your cousin have interests in the same quarter? Do you have proof of heirship? Probated will, Mineral Deeds, etc.? Sounds like research in the County Clerk’s office to me.
I’m sorry I listed wrong. The actual properties are 17-1 South-5 West and 20-2 South-4 West. My cousins and I equally have heirship rights. I was in Duncan on the 17th, which was unfortunately Presidents Day, so I was unable to visit the clerk’s office. Indeed, another road trip may be in order.
20-2 South-4 West should be getting some interest now. I’m getting pretty good offers on the sections just north of it. Have you leased it?
As far as I know no one in my family has leased and I didn’t see anything at okcountyrrcords. Since we all have equal heirship rights do they have to contract with each of us or could just one of us lease thus allowing drill activity etc…? Any/all answers are greatly appreciated as I obviously have a lot to learn!
17 1S 5W drill yet? I understand there’s a pooling order here looking for the unknown heirs of my deceased Mother so I’ve contacted XTO with so far no return call. What now?

Rick, I still haven’t heard anything or leased 20-2S-4W. What should I do or who should I contact? I’m trying to keep up but am new and afraid I’m behind the activity.
If possible, I would work on getting the estate in order so you have marketable title. I wouldn’t get in any hurry to lease it right now unless you need the money to clean up the estate.
What did you end up doing in Township 17-1S-5W?
They offer 1000/acre & 1/8 or 800 & 3/16. Haven’t responded yet. Are these comparable?
That sounds low to me. I can’t imagine it pooling that low.
Rick- I now have an offer of 2500 and 3/16 on 17-1S-5W. The broker tells me it pooled on May 7th and I have the CD # but I’m not sure where online to look as I’d like to read the orders?
They have applied for pooling but there has not been an order issued. It did go to a recommended status on 6-2-2014. It is not pooled until the order is issued.

I would be very careful about leasing it, compared to an election under the order.
You would need to consider everything, but the pooling is limited to 6 formations and 6-12 months. I’m sure the lease will be surface to core of earth capturing all zones and a 3 year term.
Oh I wish I knew more about the whole system! I don’t know what you mean—I’m so new to this and this is literally the first OGL with my name on it I’ve ever seen.
