Drilling New Wells

I am new to this forum and this is my very first post. My family owns the mineral rights and top surface rights to several acres of land in Gonzales county. On April 1, they began the process of drilling 2 new wells on our land. The land is leased to Osborn Heirs Co. Ltd. Has anyone heard of this company? If so, what is their background? All I know is that they are out of San Antonio, TX. Also, how long will it take for the wells to begin producing and paying out royalties? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Have property in same county, but have not heard of Osborn.

I'd be guessing but believe production takes 6 - 8 months.

Hope others can give you more direct answers and good luck to you.

My family has property in Gonzales County also. I have never heard of that outfit.

Review some of the past discussions in this forum. There is some valauable information there.

Be careful and watch them like a hawk.

Osborne Heirs partnered with Barrett Brothers to lease my property near Gonzales. They have advised they will start drilling in 2013.

Is this it:

(click the links down where it says 'plat')

Looks like a vertical Chalk well. 4-6 months till checks start flowing.

This looks like right next to above:

Hello everyone. Thanks so much for your comments.

Yes oldoak, the first link that you listed is one of the new wells being drilled on my family's property.

Do you or does anyone live near this location, which is the Peach Creek (Austin Chalk) area that is 6.5 miles SE direction from Waelder? It is near the intersection of FM 2814 and County Road 419.

I don't near; my property is in Wilson Co.

however, I found this well drilled very nearby:

http://webapps.rrc.state.tx.us/DP/publicQuerySearchAction.do?countyCode=177&apiSeqNo=30633

looks like it was first vertical, then recompleted to horizontal; but only to 8800 ft. I didn't check production records, but looks to be a producing oil well.

Good luck!
