I have recently found that the property owner where I have gas and oil rights is drilling, using the gas for his personal use and selling it locally. What can I do about it?
Probably need to contact an attorney very quickly. The mineral rights are dominant over the surface rights. He/she may also have mineral rights but you should have been leased if the gas well spacing covers your acreage. Have your deed ready for the attorney so you can prove that you have the mineral rights.
