Drilling and fracking on federal lands

We all heard a lot of news about the President putting a ban on drilling operations on federal lands. I cannot find out if that ever actually happened or not. Does anyone know the status of that?

Federal judge denied it initially in 2021, saying it would cause “irreparable injury” to states like AK and LA. Everything stopped for a while, caught up in litigation. The Biden Administration did an end-run around it and had the Dept of the Interior announce that they would allow drilling again, but the Bureau of Land Management only made 144,000 acres available for drilling, 80% less than they originally stated would be available. I saw on the news (Mornings with Maria on Fox Biz) today, reps from something like 13 states are calling for the other 80% of the land (mostly in AK and the Gulf of Mexico) opened up for leasing. I can’t find anything on the interwebs about that though

Thank you for the clarification.
