Is there much drilling activity happening in McClain or Grady county currently? I have producing mineral interests in northern McClain County held by EOG Resources. Have been hoping that they would drill the additional development wells that they permitted in 2023 OR that they would sell to another operator if they are not investing further in this area. Any insights?

You need to be more specific with section, township and range or at least township and range. The general answer is “a lot”, but that does not help you, so need to focus in on your areas.
I’m curious, too. We inherited mineral interests in Sec. 29-5N-2E in McClain Co. Is there anything going on there?
My interests are in McClain County - Section 8 of 9N-4W. the Spitfire 0817 was drilled in 2019 and EOG permitted 3 development wells back in 2024 but those permits have expired. There was a new well drilled in an adjacent section by another operator last fall. I can’t see that EOG is doing much of anything in OK right now. I see that there are about 44 rigs operating in OK right now but they are north and a bit west of McClain County. Thanks for your insights
29-5N-2E does not currently have anything going on. However, sec 31 just to the SW has had leasing in the last 24 months by Charter Oak, so someone might be interested in the area.
Eckerd has permits just to your east in 4/9 and 16/21 for multiple horizontals. EOG drilled multiple horiontals just to your west in 6/31 and 7/18, so time will tell as to who ends up infilling your section.

Eog got some good wells that’s rare I think they are more technical on the completion side. Bp also. Overall better quality land and operations. I know where there is a really good location in mcclain county for a vertical test. I told the landowner he said no drilling. Ever
