Does selling multiple cousins' RI together affect value?

My cousins and I have inherited fractions of the royalty interest on 160 acres of land. Does the value increase if some of us get together to sell our interests to the same buyer?

Regina,

My opinion would be, putting your interests together would increase the value, but minimally. Buyers prefer larger interests in tracts than miniscule interests and the costs associated with the purchase would be less.

Good luck

Definitely. the savings in transaction costs to the buyers is significant but moreover, the attention the combined mineral rights may get may put it into a higher price level and better deals with the risk taking working interest types.

The sum received will be grater than the sum of the individual parts.

Hi Gary,

Thanks for your response.

Could you explain that a bit?
