Do we need an OK attorney to have rights deeded in our names?

My sister, brother and myself have mineral rights in Lincoln County, Oklahoma passed down by our father. Prior to his death he did not deed rights to us. We have an old will with dad passing rights on to his children upon his death.

Do we need an Oklahoma attorney to have rights deeded in our names since our dad’s passing?

Anyone know the process and cost to do so.

Many thanks,

Paul

Paul, I use Attorney Charles McBride in Stillwater, Oklahoma # 405-624-9990 and he recommends Landman Monte Hoffman phone # 405-842-1930 with Easton Land Services. Mr. McBride’s expenses are reasonable. You may be able to do what is known as a ‘Simple Probate’ which costs less than regular probate. Costs vary depending on whether there are any title problems found.
