Do we need an attorney

Ok my family is needing a little guidance. If someone could help us out it would be greatly appreciated. We have Royalty in Section 9 02N 05W and WW drilled 3 Horizontal Plainview wells into the NE 1/4 of Section 9 from NW 1/4 of section 4 and they are telling us we have no royalty in the NE 1/4 of 9. We have a notebook of permits they sent us prior to drilling. We are trying to decide whether or not we need to hire an oil and gas attorney because GP has a Vertical well in the NE 1/4 that we are getting income from called the Greiner. GP also has a Horizontal well in the SW1/4 of 4 TDing in section 9 that we get income from call the Orin. GP pooled Section 9 when they drilled the Orin. That is another question if one company pools a section does the other company have to honor that pooling order. The Plainview wells have been flowing since June of 25 and it is about time for DO’s. Thanks in Advance.

You may need to wait a bit for the final orders to come out on the wells to give the splits for sections 33, 4 & 9. Here is the plat before drilling. I just checked and they are not posted yet.

Griener last production is listed as Sept 2025. Have you had any payments after November? Perfs from 15,206-16,755’ Sycamore, Woodford, Hunton, Viola covered. Do you have your original lease or were you pooled? What is your exact description of acres in section 9? Is it in the NE4? If the production from the Woodford in the Plainview wells started before the production in the Griener stopped, then theoretically, you should be paid if you have acreage in the NE4.

Orin is a horizontal Springer well. Perfs 13,857-18,853. Do you have the original pooling from that? It would have specified the reservoirs covered by the pooling. Well was spud back in 2016, so the pooling would have been right before it. I see a pooling for 201600885 which includes the Woodford.

Get all of your documents in date order. Leases, poolings, royalty statements for Orin and Griener. You may be able to work it through with the Division Order Analyst without using an attorney if you have good documentation.

Do you have your original lease or were you pooled? (We will have to look for that.) What is your exact description of acres in section 9? (We inherited the roalty and we are in the process of getting the exact location of the royalty.) Is it in the NE4? (We think it is because of the Greiner it’s a vertical hole. We trying to fine the exact location) If the production from the Woodford in the Plainview wells started before the production in the Griener stopped, then theoretically, you should be paid if you have acreage in the NE4. (The Plainview wells Started Producing in June of 25. When they fraqed the Plainview wells it over pressured Griener and they had to blow the Griener while they were fraqing. I know the pumper.)

Thank you very much for your help, looks like we have a little leg work to do.
