Hello all. It’s been two years that our family inherited mineral rights and royalties from one of our siblings that passed away. I assume they were combined with our current royalties and wells… We have several producing wells in Grady that are operated by Ovintiv and Continental. I receive one monthly check from Ovintiv and two Checks monthly with different owners numbers from Continental. Is it a normal practice that one company (Ovintiv) would combine the royalties, and the other (Continental) would issue two checks for the same wells? Thanks in advance John
Different companies do it different ways. CLR might be using your owner number and the sibling owner number or a new assigned number for the inheritance part. Others may roll them up. Doesn’t matter as long as the amounts are correct.
