Question: We have (4) Wells in the Niobrara/DJ Basin. Original (3) Wells were drilled and operated under Helis for 3 years. Appears that North Silo Resources purchased these contacts in 2022 and we now receive royalty checks from them. My question is that we received Division Orders for the original (3) wells. Then, North Silo Resources sent certified notification that flaring would take place around our wells and that a new well was being drilled and connected to pipeline. I waited for the Division Orders and they knew came. Suddenly, I was receiving royalties for this additional well. Is this normal? Do we not receive Division Orders for each well? North Silo Resources does not communicate well when I email them.
It depends upon the lease wording, the spacing and how the wells are allocated. Look on the checks and see if the decimal amounts are the same.
