My wife received (2) DO’s for signature from Camino Natural Resources regarding the “James Ross 1108 2-11-14-3 (& 5)MXH. These wells are new to us and we’re unsure where they are.
In the DO for “James Ross 1108 2-11-14-3MXH”, it shows as Property Description: “11N8W-2(33.6737%)11(33.7886%) Section 002”.
For “James Ross 1108 2-11-14-5MXH”, it shows as Property Description: “\8N-11W-2(33.9319%)11(33.8293%) Section 002””.
We’re trying to figure out the actual Section/TWP/Range they’re talking about as the above doesn’t make sense to us. We’d appreciate any help as we’re still trying to learn all this since it was transferred to my wife from her mom before her mom passed.

These wells are located in Sections 2, 11, & 14, Township 11 North, Range 8 West.

Welcome back to the forum. For some operators, the clues are in the name. “1108” refers to 11N-8W for the township and range. The next part of the well name tells the sections. “2-11-14” refers to sections 2, 11 and 14. The last part refers to the well number 1,2,3,4 or 4 5 etc. And the M stands for Mississippian, a W for Woodford formation, etc.
The case 2023-003154 gave a map of the intended locations within those sections. The final location may be slightly different, but this gives you an idea of where in the sections they are. There was a final determination of what percentage of the perforations were in each section. Slightly different than this diagram.
You do not have to sign a Division Order in Oklahoma in order to get paid. But you do need to return a W-9 so that they know the correct name and address and do not withhold federal taxes. It is wise to send a “letter in lieu of division order” to tell them that you agree or do not agree with the decimal amount and request that the minimum payment be $25 instead of $100. Use the magnifying glass at the top right to get a template letter. Search for “letter in lieu”.
Thank you so much! I knew about the letter from you previously and filled one out for each well. So the percentages quoted are my wife’s share percentage in each section? And I’m curious, since it shows 2,11, and 14, why there is no percentage shown for 14 for either well?
Which section is your wife in? I saw that a couple of the wells were not all the way into 14, so need to go back and check the specific ones.
