Divide County in North Dakota

Does anyone know of what amount of activity is going on in this area. I just found out about mineral rights I have in Township 162-Range 95. Any information would be appreciated.

A very good peice of information. Thank you. I’m sure Bea gained useful knowledge, as well. Hopefully, we can all continue to stick together in the future and insure that “the little guy” is’nt being taken advantage of and we all are able to live our dreams. Information is power.

You should review the NDIC website: https://www.dmr.nd.gov/oilgas/

The link provided will take you to the North Dakota Industrial Commission, Department of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas Division, home page.

On the left-hand side of the NDIC home page, you will see a menu of services/information available on this website. To review the activity in T.162N., R.95W., click on the GIS Map Server.

Once you bring up the map, you should again review the left-hand side to review the map options. At the very end, you should click on “Find Section.” At the bottom of the map, you will now be able to enter the township, range, and section that you are interested in viewing. (You should include a buffer of 5 to 10 miles so you can look at the entire township. As you can see, there is considerable activity in your township. You should review the map legend and play with the map features until you feel comfortable with the information you’re unveiling. It takes practice in order to use the map and its features proficiently.

Try this website - it shows activity in the area: Oil and Gas : ArcIMS Viewer

The Million Dollar Way blog is also interesting.

Sometimes a little strange on the politics, but the bakken oil info is usually sound.
