I am working with a family who owns mineral interest in Eastland County and the unit in their area of ownership is operated by DFG energy in Richardson, TX (NW Ranger Strawn Unit). When I call their number, the call rings once and is dropped. A family member went to their address in Richardson and said, “it was a ghost town” and no one was there even though he could see through the doors and noticed the lights were off, and paperwork, etc. on desks. One family member received a division order earlier in the year but already sent it back. I cautioned her on signing and sending in until we could verify the information on there was correct. It just seems very shady that no one can reach them or get through to ask questions. I have prepared a certified letter to them and hoping they will return our request for information or I am going to encourage the family to file a lease termination and/or affidavit of non-production and consult an attorney. There have been no payments received in what is described as “a very long time” and no production reports via the RRC website. Has anyone else dealt with DFG energy? Do you know how to contact them?
Here is RRC operator and contact information. Eastland address matches the registration for Texas Secretary of State. Registered agent is Dustin H Sparks, an attorney in Dallas. If this is the NW Strawn Unit - RRC lease 7B-27722 - it looks like the wells ceased producing in 2016 and the wells are shut-in. Have you been out to see the wells? https://webapps2.rrc.texas.gov/EWA/organizationResultsDrillDownAction.do?methodToCall=searchByOperatorNo&operatorNo=216724&rrcActionMan=H4sIAAAAAAAAAL1Ry2rDMBD8GvciMJLsKL3sQXUdU3CTNgkpweSg2sIJOJZZO33hj-_apVCSXtvbMDO7mln1gnOQveACxBVirvPu4OpljkXGdzDyr_bZNE0rfZL9zr6Z1i_dixfoMAzIIMGTs_hJEwwG6LA09eHDDHseTxbfv1b6hSNHCEfb7V2xdpGpKiImgLY7Yb12K2sw3xN1DfwiSdaOqsay9RuD5rgx1cmOARVIoaYy9GQ0AkXcFG5nCYvn8TLZsmhx_6DnW5amkRfcMMYGbXGXMk8qlugVDQ7a2Zvif9q3360VNKa0-KPdr6cQu-zcNwQF0UsQvA_oL0Pg_YQIRcTl9N8f8hNaBcVlUwIAAA
