When my Mother passed away a few years ago, I inherited some mineral rights in North Dakota. I have no idea where that info package is, but would sure like to find out some general info, like whether or not they're re-starting fracking anywhere. How would I go about checking on that? Do they just need my Mom's full name?? Thanks for any guidance!

Thanks for your response, John! I believe the rights are for land somewhere near Hazen; perhaps then I should start somewhere around the Recorder's Office for whatever county that falls in? I know the info you cited as being necessary to hone in on specific facts exists somewhere in my messy home office, so I likely won't be able to take the next step without first finding that documentation. Sigh. I doubt we're talking millions of dollars, but whatever the worth, I'd sure hate for it to go to bureaucrats!
