I know that the RRC regulates the allowable production on each well each month, but can an oil company arbitrarily restrict the production? Say a well had been producing 14K barrels a month, then drops to 400 the next month - that wouldn't necessarily indicate a rapid decline, but maybe a voluntary reduction or a RRC mandated one?
Ms. Nolen, they could have been working on the well. Have you a way to check on how many days the well actually produced?
Not mine, but someone I know. It is in the Barnett Shale Combo in Montague County. Hadn't thought about work being done on the well.
Also, the RRC does not set production limits, except in some rare cases. Your lease probably gives them rights to rework the well or limit production, in some instances.
