Decimal Interest

Hi there,

Question. I appear to have 160 acres in a 660 acre block, S36, T17North, Range 5West in kingfisher, my royalty interest or division of interest is .0008545000 my two brothers have the same Ri also other family in Ok share in this block. What is my share or percentage per acre? I am having trouble filling in the calculators.

I do not actually know how much I own or what percentage per acre of the possible 160acres.

Ian,

Normally sections 1-6, 7, 18, 19, 30 and 31 are common correction sections and all others contain 640 acres but it is possible yours is 660 gross acres in the section or as you put it block as the Cimarron river is right there. Your interest is probably held by a 1970's lease from the 160 acre spaced Egelston well and so it's probably on a 1/8th royalty. You wouldn't own a net of 160 acres, you are probably referring to a 160 acre tract in the SW/4. If your interest is in the SW/4 and held by a 1/8th old lease then you would only own about 2.2 acres in the new Egelston 1-36H well as it is spaced 320 acres and I didn't look but I doubt you are in the well spacing of the new Rigdon well as it is only a 320 acre spaced well but in a different half. In any case I don't see where the 660 comes into play at all, maybe you can elaborate.

Hi Tim,

You may be right. I have two old Division orders, Sunoco Partners stating SW4 and DCP MIDSTREAM stating EGELSTON1.

Here are some files, I have more.

The other thing is my brother sold his minerals in 2010, his mineral deed states 160acres? 3 equal portions from our mother. 1896-image.jpg (415 KB)

The 2 division orders are one for the oil purchaser (Sunoco) and the other one from the gas purchaser. Yes, 160 would be the gross acreage in the SW/4 tract and you'd own a net in that tract.

I am running a little behind so maybe someone else can look at the spacing orders you posted and give you an accurate breakdown of your interest and both the new wells, if not I will pull the complete orders off the OCC web site and post what I find.

Thank you so much for your time.
