I discovered this handy tip on this site… Only works for wells in Texas

Go to the Texas Comptroller CONG website https://mycpa.cpa.state.tx.us/cong/reportLeaseDropNGForward.do

  • No need to log in.
  • On the left side there is a menu
  • Click on either the gas lease drop or oil lease drop (applicable to your well)
  • Enter the lease number of the well.
  • Enter the date as …YYMM start date
  • and YYMM end date
  • Hit enter. It limits the number of years you can query. I think I was able to do 5? The report shows the actual $$ amount the oil or gas sold for.
