Do you know the name of the well? You need the full name to find a particular well such as:
SKUNK CREEK 4-10-11-8H
If you have the full name you can search the Confidential Well List found on the home page of the NDIC site. The Confidential List will give you the File #, Operator, Well Name and Location. To get production information once the well is out of confidential status you need to purchase a basic subscription to be able to use the File # to access the Scout Ticket Data area. There you will find all info on the well including production info.

Pamela, adding to what Steve has said, you can also search for wells by legal description. First I would input the legal description on the GIS map to see what wells are in close proximity to my legal description as sometimes the wellhead will be outside of the drill spacing. You can select rect/identify and click on each well to get the names of the wells. Once you have found your well you can go back to the home page and input the correct legal description in a well search. For free, you will get information such as spud date if the well is confidential and also cumulative production of oil, gas and water if the well does not have confidential status. If your well is still under confidential status, sales of oil information for your well might be found under General Statistics on the NDIC site. I hope this helps.

I heard from someone in Butke County, ND that there’s some activity in Section 11, TWP 161, Range 92 which has a leg gong into Section 2,which is my section. I’ve tried everything in my known knowledge base to determine what’s happening there… With your knowledge and tools, can you tell me if this Is well on the Confidential List??? Good morning Pamela, it is my pleasure to help. I see that there has been a LOC which is a location approval in section 11 on the date of 8-25-2014. This is not a permit for a well which would show up in more searches as all permits are considered confidential wells. It's early days yet to know if this will bloom into something more. The file # for this LOC is 29237. I hope this helps.
