My brother has passed away and left me and my sister some mineral rights in Stephens Co. Sec. 26 T. 1 North R. 6 West and I was wanting to know 1)- is there any activity in this area? And 2) the minerals were leased once before in 1932, How can I find out if they found anything.
This is our first experience with any of this, it is currently going through the oil lease process, any information will be appreciated.

There is not currently any activity or drilling but there is interest in the area. The have been 26 lease filed in section 26-1N-6W and about 70 in the surrounding sections. Bearcat is filing most of the leases. I have been contacted a few times the last several months about our assets in 1N-6W. However, I have not leased them yet. I think we are a year or more out from seeing drilling. I have not seen any significant application in the township. They have all been disposal, re-completes, or shallow wells.
