Crawley Petroleum’s well (API # 3512900054). I see this well was spud on 12/10/2025. What is the status of the well? Has it been completed yet? If so, is it producing yet?
Does anyone have any new information on this well?
Thank you.

You are asking a bit early (but that is okay). There are two Trout wells from the same pad so it will take a longer time. 1-2-22-15CHX (3512900045) goes north from 27 into 22 into 15. It was spud on 10/22/25. The other is 2-27-34CHX (3512900054) and goes south from 27 into 34 into 3 and into 10 if it can go that far.
A typical long well like this takes four to five months to drill and complete. Doing two takes longer because they drill them both before the frac jobs so they can save money on the completion.
You can have an idea of completion date by using www.frac-focus.org and watching for the frac job. Use the advanced search option as it is easier. I checked it this morning and they are not posted yet. I would think March or April.
Then it will take five months or so to do the Division Order title work. With that many sections, there could be over a thousand titles to check. My general estimate is a year from spud to pay in the bank. Might be a bit more or a bit less depending on the title work time.
You do not have to sign a Division Order in OK in order to get paid and it is not recommended. You do have to give the operator a W-9. Look up “letter in lieu” on the forum for a draft template.
M_Barnes, when you say, “You do not have to sign a Division Order in OK in order to get paid and it is not recommended.” Why is it not recommended? What are cons and if any, what are the pros?
You may be giving away some of your rights in Oklahoma if you sign a division order. The operator just wants the W-9 and you want to get paid properly without any change in the lease terms. Many folks want a $25 minimum payment instead of the statutory $100. Using a letter in lieu of Division Order and a W-9 accomplishes both of those. No real upside to a DO in my opinion. I do save them as I want to make sure the decimal amount is correct. Sometimes you need them about four operators down the line when they mess up the pay deck. Good to have the original and your letter in lieu copy to prove the original decimal.
I have this “2. DIVISION ORDER: No Division Order shall amend the terms of this lease.” in my “Exhibit A” which should help with part of what you said.
Then I searched on the forum for Letter in Lieu and found your post from July 2023 with the form you posted. Downloaded that for future reference. Thanks:)
