Signed the lease in May, but haven’t received initial payment. Was told checks would go out in July. What could be the hold-up? Continental isn’t in trouble, are they? Any advice? I need that check, badly!
Continental doesn’t flip leases; they are one of the largest operators in America. To the original post, have you contacted them since July? We are now halfway through October. I would start off by doing that and asking if the title was good and why you didn’t get paid.
Send Continental a certified letter return receipt with a copy of your lease and requesting payment. It is always a good idea to not turn over a signed lease without getting paid the same day.
