Hello, I received a consent to pool form today. Looking at the survey plan it appears that the surface location is on the adjacent section, but only two football fields away the well enters my land and the bottom hole is on my section. The form says 50-50 for royalties that will be amended if the drilled survey changes the allocation for the well. Am I being paranoid here, does this sound like a typical agreement. The company doing the deal is well respected and has been good to me for years. Thank you.
You will probably get a better answer if you post in the correct State and County with your legal location. Pooling rules vary by state.

In general, that is typical, but I have no knowledge of the Canadian law. Saskatchwan probably has an oil and gas commission where you can find the rules.
