Comstock - New Well

Comstock is waiting for drilling permit approval for their latest well, the Ingram Martin A 1H:

http://webapps.rrc.state.tx.us/DP/drillDownQueryAction.do?name=INGRAM%2BMARTIN%2BA&fromPublicQuery=Y&univDocNo=496322335

Permitted completion depth is 25,000 feet!

Their RT Glass well in Leon is permitted to 20,000 feet, and the Farly GD, also in Leon, is permitted to 22,000 feet.

I’m not sure what landing zones they are targeting at those depths.

Alan- don’t those footage figures refer to total length of the wellbore and not depth from surface?

Don’t believe they do. Comstock has used TVD in their prior permits.

For example, the Campbell EO B 2H in Robertson County was permitted to 16,000 feet:

http://webapps.rrc.state.tx.us/DP/drillDownQueryAction.do?name=CAMPBELL%2BEO%2BB&fromPublicQuery=Y&univDocNo=495158033

The well was completed to 15,701 TVD with a 12,763-foot lateral.

On this permit there have been several changes and additions to it in the last several days. Take a look at the Notice of Application. For a company that is about to drill a 25,000 ft. well I would think the the land and title work should be more complete.
