Like so many of you, I haven't a clue what the heck oil/gas leases are worth. Has anyone ever made money, when their lease is 5/32 of an acre or ?????????????????????????
I now own leases in two counties..Perry, and now Yoakum.................so why don't I advertise to the oil companies direct? Why is there a need...or is there...for a landsman?
What about other minerals.

Not much bargaining power there with 5/32 of an acre. But if your property happens to be in a hot spot it could be worth a bunch. Some of the major operators drilling in Yoakum County are: XTO Energy Inc; Occidental Permian LTD; OXY USA WTP; Richard W. Thompson, Inc.; Apache corp.; Huntington Energy LLC; Basic Energy Services L. P.; And Walsh Petroleum Inc. It wouldn't hurt to call and maybe you will get a lease. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. I made a typo..5/320. Is that 5 acres in 320??? and is that good, bad, or normal?? I have leases in Perry, Yoakum, and Gaines counties, with two of them getting some attention in past few months. I think I'll take a road trip down to those counties, and see what is really going on. I will also contact the oil companies Monday. Thank you again.
