We have mineral rights in Dawson County, Loving School Lands, League 274, Labor 25, and have a lease agreement (into the 2nd year of it). Last week an outfit’s landman called to see if we’d like to sell outright. I refused of course but this is the 2nd outfit to offer to buy in the past 12 to 18 months. Just wondered whether anyone else was getting buy offers (as opposed to lease offers) RGW
Folks are speculating in Dawson right now hoping the Spraberry is pushed up that way. The mineral speculating is just giving them a longer timeline than a lease now that companies are trying to drill within cashflow and not explore as much. Hopefully one day Dawson gets drilled up but it may be a while.
