Company Backed Out

For over 30 days, we were in a legally binding letter of intent to lease mineral rights in northern Blaine County, 4-18N-12W, to WSB Energy, LLC. The mineral lease would have been for three years and was to paid by direct deposit on Oct. 27. No money was received.

Today we received an email from Devon James telling us his management was no longer interested in leasing minerals in northern Blaine County.

We turned down other offers because of the letter of intent. It appears we will be forced pool by the Oklahoma Corporation Commission on Nov. 6. Is there any recourse we can take against WSB Energy, LLC?

Unfortunately no, this is actually pretty common with a lot of oil companies. Especially Chesapeake. Best bet may be to contact your previous offers or wait to be pooled.
