Commerical Quantities

I receive royalty payments that some times only amount to a few dollars or even less per year.

In looking at title work today on lands in which I arguably have an ownership, I noted the following language:

"...20 years form 11/29/1929 or as long thereafter as oil, gas or other minerals being produced in commercial quantities."

This particular land is in Nueces County, TX and the best description I have is:

"All of Lots No. One (1), two (2), three (3) and four (4), in Section Six (6) ,

Lots numbered one (1), two (2), three (3), and four (4) , in Section numbered seven (7) ;

the South 140.5 feet of Lots numbered five (5), six (6), Seven (7) and eight (8) in section Number five (5)

and the South 140.5 feet of Lots numbered six (6), seven (7), eight (8) and nine (9) in section numbered Four (4)

all in what is known as the S. Ross Peters Subdivision No. 2, according to the plat thereof on record in Plat Book No. 3, Page 55, Map Records in the Office of the County Clerk of Nueces County, Texas."

How can I determine if there has arguably been continuous production since November 29, 1949?

Thanks for your help.

Doug

Yikes,

That used to require a trip to the Railroad Commission. I always used Mason Research for items like this.
