As a mineral owner I try to keep an eye on the Colorado and Weld County oil and gas industry and its progress as much as I can, but as an owner that lives out of state it is sometimes difficult to get the "feel" of how things are going. I have been reading a few articles about some new legislation that could be on the November ballot that could ban fracking. I was hoping that anyone that lives in Colorado may have some real insight on this topic and be willing to share. It is an issue that could have some serious consequences for those of us that are tied to the industry, whether it be a mineral owner, surface owner, employee, etc.
Most of the noise is coming from the liberal towns and cities like Boulder, Loveland, Ft Collins. Believe areas where those that really care about this counrty and Colorado will not have fracking problems.
