I would like to learn more about the oil and gas industry. I am not looking to become a landman. Does any one know of any on line classes ? I just want to have general knowledge of the industry. Any suggestions?



The most applicable course of study (without becoming a landman) in the area is offered by the TCU Energy Institute. It's not very cheap in my opinion, but it appears to have some good coursework.

I considered this program, but I decided to pursue the AAPL (landman) courses pending I become sponsored to do so. The other alternative would be joining NARO and taking their courses. Here is a guide
