Citation Oil & Gas Omaha wells

Does anyone know any information about what is going on with the Omaha wells in Carter Co by Citation? I have received lots of court papers but I am unsure of what it all means.

[quote=“M_Barnes, post:3, topic:80749”] Welcome to the forum. Put the documents in order by case number and then by date order. They are drilling about 15-18 horizontals lined up like cigars. You will get paid on the wells that go through your acreage. At the back of the multi unit horizontal application, you can find the Exhibit with the well path for that case. You might find it helpful to make a spreadsheet with the well name and the predicted % of perforations in your section. Your division orders will all be slightly different due to the different percentage along each well path.

So just because we’ve received paperwork doesn’t necessarily mean we will get paid? The well has to run through our acreage?

They spaced most of the sections at 640, but maybe not all. Your acreage has to be in the spacing of the reservoir that the well passes through.

For example, here is Omaha 15-9-10-15XHW. 23% of the well is planned to go through the north half of 9 spaced at 320. 27% of the well is in the south half of 9 spaced at 320. 6% goes through 10 spaced at 640 amd 44% of the well goes through 15 spaced at 640. One of the other wells may go through 16, but not this one.

I have mineral rights in section 4-2s-3w so does that mean if it passes through that I receive money or could I own just part of that section. I’m confused if I am entitled to all of that section or just part of it.

If they spaced your section at 640 acres, then your smaller net acreage would be included in the spacing.

Case 2025-000051 Multi Unit Horizontal shows that the Omaha 11-4-9-10XHW will have 36% of the well in your section 4 spaced at 640.

You should have gotten case documents for wells that cross your section. 9-33-4-3-10XHW, 10-4-3-10XHW, 11-4-9-10XHW, 12-4-9-10XHM, 13-4-9-15XHW. #7 might have a tiny bit of 4 in the NE corner.

Yes, we did receive those case documents and recently a case document that was a special allowance for wells #7, 9-33-4-3-10XHW, 10-4-3-10XHW, 11-4-9-10XHW, 13-4-9-15XHW mentioning gas wells I believe.

The Omaha wells are in various stages of drilling & completion. There are multiple Omaha wells so it depends on which ones.

Here is a map with the proposed laterals although they are missing 3 laterals from Omaha #2,3,4. The well pad is located approximately where those two circles are in section 28-1S-3W

Thank you for the information!

Citation has good luck with water flooding. They are either good guessers or have good seismic or a large lease or all the above. I’m watching a horizontal residual oil well die slowly it’s not pretty. Citation would never have completed it.

The Omaha wells above are not waterflood wells at this time. This is the first phase of exploratory drilling.

As to your other comment, horizontal wells have a fast decline for a few years and then a more flatted decline profile for many, many years. Perfectly normal.

Citation doesn’t do anything but tertiary recovery.

Citation has at least 31 permits in the last 24 months. Your statement about only tertiary recovery is incorrect. They are drilling infill wells in the Fitts field in Pototoc and drilling horizontal wells in Stephens and Carter counties.

Infill drilling for citation is the beginning of Waterflood.

In the Fitts Field, one would have to look up the Unitizaton agreement on the OCC for the Fitts West sand unit for the most recent wells.

The new exploration horizontal wells are exploration wells and not secondary recovery at this time. Omaha is definitely exploration.

That’s all that citation waterflood over at fitts then Sheridan took it over. It’s all water flood u cant transport and dispose of all the water they have to reinject push oil to the lower pressure borehole. Half of any wells citation drills will be injecting and half recovering with esp

Probably horizontal for production and vertical for inject. Citation has been in stonewall field for 40 years

Anything other than flowing is secondary recovery. If any of them do flow it’s from water injection pressure and that’s not good because that means the water flood front has moved by already. But citation knows that

How do i get re-engaged with the outfits thats over my area in carter county. Chelsea unit (if exist) sections 1,2,11, 12-T2S-R3W. Carter county Oklahoma
