Chisholm Oil & Gas

We did not receive a royalty check from Chisholm in February. I have called numerous times but have not been able to speak with anyone and have had to leave voice messages. Does anyone have information on Chisholm? Also - if you have any information regarding Section 2 Township 18N Range 8W where Chisholm took over the operations of the Shimanek 1-2H well? Any information would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Follow up on my previous message. Was finally able to speak with Chisholm today - they were all working from home due to weather. Does anyone have information on Chisholm they are able to share? Have not been able to find out much about the company.

Thank you.

Check the terms of your Division Order. Many of them have a minimum payment of $100. If your royalties are less than the minimum, then they will not cut a check until they reach that amount. You can change the minimum to $25 which will enable more regular checks.

Chisholm is a smaller firm out of Tulsa which merged with Gastar back in 2019. Went though bankruptcy in 2020 and emerged in better shape. You can find out more about them online.

The Shimanek 1-2H well has been online since 2014. It is in decline as is normal for all wells. Production was a bit choppy in 2021.

Thank you so much! We are considering selling our mineral interests in Kingfisher County. Is there a reputable company you know of that will make a reasonable offer?

You can observe qualified professionals (often with localized expertise) who provide services to mineral owners right here on The Mineral Rights Forum. You will notice them among 3 different instances on the site:

  • in display image ads and/or brief text messaging on site

  • in our Mineral Service Provider Directory in the main navigation above. These are arranged by professional discipline.

  • as a Business Member participating in many conversations throughout the site (note the blue colored “B” on their picture and blue text on their posts).

These practitioners are often able to provide the specific (and often localized) services that meet your needs.
