I just joined the forum and attempted to post my first question yesterday and somehow it was missing the body of my question/discussion. Apologies to the group. Here is my second attempt below:
My name is Tyndale Cobb and my parents owned and have since passed away and willed the mineral rights to their children…I am one of four sons) and we have recently been contacted by a landman representing Westphal Energy out of Denver and the company is based n Salt Lake City, Utah.
I would be interested in corresponding with anyone at SEMPCO that could offer any advice or Suggestions for negotiating a lease for these mineral rights. We do not have a large position and it is described as such:
1/5 INT E/2 22-16-50
The PLM did state that the company he is working for is not an operator, but just accumulating rights to then preset to a drilling company. I have previously worked in the natural gas industry for a midstream company that was based out of Corpus Christie and Houston TX, as well as several start ups with Morgan Stanley, so I am somewhat familiar with the industry and jargon, but have not been in the industry for 20 yrs and am not familiar with gas or oil plays in this sector or Colorado.
So any correspondence would be appreciated.
Best Regards,
Tyndale Cobb
