Chevron

Does anyone here have any experience with Nobel-Chevron (Reeves County, Texas)? I sent them a package with all of my details to transfer mineral rights from my deceased father to me. Their website states that because of Covid-19 they are running behind and to not expect a fast service. Covid-19? Huh? That was years ago! So how long will it take to get their attention? What am I to expect? 3 weeks? 3 months? A year? How long will it take for them to respond to my request? Exactly how slow are they? I need to be in pay—my bills have cobwebs on them.

Welcome to the mineral rights forum.

If you haven’t already, send them a certified return receipt letter with your request. Not sure how long you’ve been waiting, but expect more than a month most likely.

Also, you don’t mention what is in your package - but my experience is that companies want probate in the state in question. Some companies may accept an affidavit of heirship; but it depends on how much risk the company is willing to take.

First, Chevron is not quick so be patient. I suggest email over certified, since the email thread provides a digital record and enters the queue more rapidly. A follow up every 60 days is advisable.
