Houston Chronicle: On Jan 18, 2023 WildFire Energy announced that they had entered into an agreement to purchase the Brazos Valley Eagle Ford Shale assets of Chesapeake Energy. The sale is expected to be completed by the end the first quarter.

OK Energy News website reported that the sale closed on March 31st but neither Wildfire or Chesapeake’s site has a press release confirming that.

Reports from Burleson County are that some land owners have recently (this month) received offers from WHF (an entity of WildFire Energy) to lease their oil and gas mineral rights.
