On Jan 18, 2023 Chesapeake Energy announced that they had entered into an agreement to sell its Brazos Valley Eagle Ford Shale assets to WildFire Energy. The sale is expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter.
WildFire is headed up by former executives of Wildhorse resources and I think this acquisition by WildFire will make them the big gun in Brazos County.
