I own some land in Cherokee County, Tx just south of Alto. Over the past couple of weeks, I have received an offer to purchase my mineral rights and a lease to conduct seismic via the mail from two different parties. Things have been pretty quiet over the past 20 years or so. Chesapeake had leased my property right before they had all their difficulties but nothing ever got off the ground.
Is there a place I can research maybe what is going on? I’m just curious more than anything.
