Our last royalty check from Penn Virginia was -$197.00 this month and our production statement shows mostly every thing collected in the red. We don’t understand why?
Two possible reasons come to mind. One is post production costs. If this is gas country, then it is starting to cost more to move the gas than they are getting paid for it.
Another might be an accidental overpayment in past months that they are making up for.
Call them and ask.
