Will the new CEO of cheasapeake turn the company around and start being fair and honest with landowners? Will they start to pay fair market value royalties?
Jay, I don't think you can put the genie back in the bottle. If CHK started actually paying people it would be tantamount to saying they should have been paying all along and how are they going to explain that?
I was pleasantly surprised to see they were the first ones to donate for victims of the Moore, Ok. tornado - $1mil that very night. Others joined the next day -"Chesapeake Energy Corp., Devon Energy Corp., Continental Resources Inc., ONEOK Inc. and OGE Energy Corp. have pledged more than $7 million so far."
I hope that's a good omen that Chesapeake has turned over a new leaf.
