I currently have a well (gas well making all water) in Section 6 Township 16 North Range 3 East. This well was drilled in 1980, it has been a strong gas well and I know the present owner will not communicate in any manner. I have a mineral interest plus the lease has a saltwater well to handle the water this well makes. I would appreciate somebody writing back on the well.

I was wondering what rights as a landowner or mineral owner I have on this matter. No production on this well in 5 months. Is there not a law stating that they have to give it up?

Look at the shut-in clause in your lease. I cannot look it up online if it was 1980.
