My parents have an Assignment of Royalty for mineral rights in McCone county, MT, and it was part of their Trust. The Trust has been dissolved due to my dad having passed away and all of the assets are sold. What do we need to do in order to change the Assignment of Royalty to my mom’s name only?
If the trust was dissolved and the assets were sold, then the royalties probably went with the assets, so nothing to transfer to your mom. Read the trust docs and the sale docs carefully to see if anything was retained.
