We received an order with the corporation commission state of Oklahoma. They are seeking relief for horizontal drilling and spacing. Wondering what this means and if they are planing to drill will we likely see the bonus money if the land has a vertical well that’s barely productive.
How do the legal descriptions read ? Section township range ? 13-15 -21 ? 36-15-22 ? What are the numbers on your casillas letter that represent surface acreage.as we have seen before I think we may share in the same sections.
18 15n 21w is the one they sent the paperwork on. I also have some at 12 15n 22w
If you already have production from a lease that goes to all depths, then you will not get additional bonus money, but you would get additional royalties from the pending well if it is productive. Horizontals have thousands of feet of perforations compared to just tens of feet, so that makes a huge difference in returns. 15N-21W has quite a bit of upcoming Cherokee shale horizontals coming.
18-15-21 , the old home place of Derwood Sherwood of moorewood . I received the same OCC docs for 18-15-21. I have exposure in sections 18-19-30-15-21 .the neighbors to the north of 18 in sections 6-7-15-21 have been contacted too . My home is 1/4 Mile west of section 18-15-21 in section 13-15-22.
A well is currently being drilled south/southeast of section 18 in what appears to be in either 23-24-15-21 , Smith family surface I think . They recently completed the “Monte” well in 26/23-15-21 its i a beast !!! Came in @ 10m gas & 3000 bopd, of course the production will decrease , but that’s a hell of a well .Mewbourne has a well planned in 19-30-31-15-21 Farni. As the drilling continues to head west our opportunity gets closer & closer !
We leased to Rockies in the Fall sections 11-12-15-22 @ 800.00 1/5.you spoke of having minerals in section 12-15-22 . Attorney Brady Smith handled our side of the deal . I own mineral in 11 sections of 15-22 w/ original leases without depth clauses from the early 80’s. Grateful for the foresight of our Grandparents, homesteaded in 1915 @ the ages of 16&15 on nine mile road. Blessings
