I have done some more research on our acreage in Section 8, T1S, R3W in Carter County. Casillas is drilling The Flash 1-8-5MXH in Section 5 just to the North. Does anyone have current information on this well or heard about timing? Thank you.

In general, Division Orders come out five months after first sales. Statute requires payment by 180 days after first sales. If they are late, they owe statutory interest of 12% to mineral owners with clear title. Much less interest to folks with clouded title. You do have to send a certified letter to request the interest (or at least I do) as some companies will “forget” to send it.
