Carter county drilling activity?

Can you tell me news of section 32, Township 1 South, Range 2 West, Carter county. Just received letter saying well is located in Section 32. Have they started drilling? What an I expect as a mineral royalty owner. In letter it says multi unit well completion percent in section 32 is 5.12%. Know very little about these things. Thank you

You can follow the progress at the OCC well records site. https://imaging.occ.ok.gov/imaging/OGWellRecords.aspx

Are you talking about the Lexington well or the Gramercy well? What is the case code at the top of the letter?

cause cd no. 201905569

https://imaging.occ.ok.gov/imaging/OAP.aspx Type in the case number and you can find all of the exhibits and documentation for the Gramercy 1-32-6-8XHW well. The map at the end shows the drill path. One well goes north (Lexington 1-32-29XHW) and one well goes south (Gramercy 1-32-5-8-XHW). You only get paid on the percentage of perforations in your section. So predicted percentage for Gramercy is 5.12%. You will not know the final until the well is surveyed.

The Lexington well was spud on 12/16/2019. It has a planned completion of 44.42% in section 32 and 55.58% in Section 29. The OK tax site lists it as active as of 2/5/21, but no production has been posted yet.

The Gramercy well was spud 1/13/20. The completion is not listed yet on the OCC, but the tax site says that it was active as of 4/1/21. Everything slowed down or halted last year due to COVID. The reports usually run about four months late, so completion and survey should be posted soon.

As a mineral owner, you will receive a Division Order at about five months after first production. If the decimal amount is correct, then you may sign it and send a copy of your W-9 to them. (Decimal amount is net acres/actual spacing acres x royalty x percentage of perforations in your section). The percentage will be confirmed by an order from the OCC, so the time may drag out a bit since they are trying to file for both wells. They will owe you interest is they do not pay on time. You may have to request is. Another topic to discuss in about three more months…Your first check will be for approximately six months of royalties so do not expect the next one to be the same as it will only be for one month.
