Cana Woodford Shale (AKA Anadarko Woodford) - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

I forgot to ask for the section number. So I need Section, Township, and Range for both counties.

Daniel, thanks for the permit info. I’m not sure what it means other than there is some activity in the area but it doesn’t sound like much. As for Cleveland County, it is Section 23, Township 6N, Range 1E for a grand total of 0.7 acres.

Olvis - thanks for the feedback about Calvin. Just haven’t felt comfortable with them and their offer. They want a 2-year option and I hear that is not a good thing.

Do you know the case number?

Not on me right now.

Hi, does anyone know if there is any activity going on in 5N-7W and 6N-7W? I have some mineral rights in a couple of sections there and have had people wanting to lease and/or buy my mineral rights. Anyone hear of Calvin Energy? They want to give me $350/ac for a 3 year lease with a 2 year option. Are they reputable? I had to ask for a non-deduction clause. Is that normal to have to ask for that?

Would it be a good idea to sell my mineral rights in this area and how would I know what they are worth? Thanks for any feedback. The help is greatly appreciated.

Don’t sell your mineral rights.

Don’t take the first lease offer.

What County are your mineral interests in?

Daniel, sorry I forgot to mention it but I’m in Grady County with a tiny bit in Cleveland.

Thanks for the intelligence! Any permits this year in Cleveland County: Township 9N Range 1W Section 9; Township 10N Range 1W Sections 8, 26, or 30; Township 10N Range 2W Sections 1 or 3? We haven’t seen any leasing action in a long time.

BTW, in Grady County Marathon completed a well in March 5 BOPD and 1,839 MCFPD in Section 11.

Daniel, it is Sections 5 and 6 in 5N-7W and Sections 31 and 32 in 6N-7W. I have about 21.44 net mineral acres there. This is all in Grady County. Pardon my ignorance, but what does BOPD and MCFPD mean?

Vickie, what Sections are you in?

Ron, it is Section 5 5N-7W, Section 6 5N-7W, Section 31 6N-7W, and Section 32 6N-7W.

Eagle Rock had and emergency hearing Tuesday for 34-14n-9w Canadian county I was just wondering if anything came of it. Thanks!

BOPD = Barrel of Oil Per Day

MCFPD = Thousand cubic feet per day (gas) Sold in 1000 cubic feet for about $3.00.

Grady County

Section 5: no permits this year.

Section 6: no permits this year.

Section 31: 2 permits - 1 in Township 7N Range 5W, 1 in Township 9N Range 5W.

Section 32: 4 permits - 2 in Township 5N Range 5W, 1 in Township 7N Range 5W, 1 in Township 7N Range 6W.

Cleveland County has had 32 permits since the first of the year. What is the Section, Township, and Range of your mineral interest in Cleveland County?

No permits in Section 23, but Sections 25, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31, 34, and 36 have had permits.

The hearing might have had something to do with this:

6/7/2012 - G30 - Due to the known potential risk of encountering an overpressured zone in the Morrow Series in this area, the technical manager recommends setting an intermediate string of casing immediately above the Morrow Series.

Daniel, I think they were applying to drill because the emergency hearing said that they had a rig ready to go now, and needed the permits, I was wondering if they were approved. Thank you for anything you have to offer its highly appreciated.
