Cheryl, This is a presentation by Cimarex. Included is a map of what they consider the core.

Thanks for that info Michael.

Some of us in the Southeast Cana may take exception to that opinion!

J.W. concerning your discussion on 1-28-2012, i learned from a realiable source that by law companies do not have to report production to the OCC in Okla. just to the tax comm. You might call out to the tax comm. and see if there has been any reported production in your area.

Here is a link to the transcript of the Devon 4th Quarter report

Richard:

Thanks for your reply. It’s my understanding that gas production is reported to the OCC, but not oil production. However, even with gas, I’m not sure how reliable or complete the OCC information is. I’ve seen several specific problems, especially for smaller production. In my case, I was actually needing to know about gas rather than oil. If anyone has experience about oil production and the OK Tax Commission, that might be interesting to know as well.

Lanny i agree with you 100%. I have been a member of the registry for over a year and it is well worth thee price. I have used their data to answer and join in many discussins on this forum and was given some other legals of areas that I may own after a land man contacted me on some land i had inherited but did not know i owned that he wanted to lease.

I think all Okla. mineral owners should give consideration to joining the Oklahoma Mineral Owner Registry. I have no stake in it but I was informed by an oil co. V-P ( a friend) that he had joined and thought that I should also. I enrolled online and the info started coming to me in 2 days. I can now log on and get weekly updates on leasing, activity in my area, etc. It is only $35.00 a year. www.OwnerRegistry.com

The O & G co’s are using it’s database frequently. A landman started it. You do NOT need legals just contact info and names and dates of death of anyone you may have received minerals from or should have received them from!

Reed, Thanks for the information. The initial production numbers look real good. Hopefully they will hold up for a while. I would be interested in hearing how much yours declines over the next few months.

Larry, At least you got a little unexpected bonus after that long wait. Continental’s Qtrly. report comes out Wed. I hope they mention our well.

Thanks, Stephanie. Hope I don’t even have to worry about it.

Many wells in Canadian County produce both oil and gas. The oil window is why there is so much activity there for the last few years. It is spreading southeastward now. I don’t think there are any units that have nine wells in them yet, just planning and drilling now. I think in the long run (4-10 years) that four to nine will be the result per unit. You cannot find out how much a well is producing. The OCC does not require that information on both oil and gas. You can become an expert at handling the OCC web site (lots of luck there) and see what you can find out. Very hard to use and I am in the business. I believe two wells on a pad mean two different holes can be drilled from one setup.

Your best bet is to follow closley the main operators quarterly reports. They mention these wells in the Woodford Shale trend and really wave the flag, as in what a nine well per unit delivers. That is a ways off but is your best bet to find out some direct information.

If you figure out the OCC web site, let me know.

Michale We finally got our division papers dated Jan. 30th and hope to get a check this month. Effective date on papers said 6-2011. they had told me first oil was sold in early July and I read on another paper the first gas was sold in late June so it has took them awhile. Turn out ours was spaced on 605 acres due to a correction line so made our per cent a little larger.

My experience in receiving interest payments for delinquent royalty payments was fankly quite easy with most. Put it in writing.

Are any wells in Canadian county producing any oil, If so how much? How much are those wells producing that have 9 per section and how much do they have to produce to get that many wells? Will most sections get 9 in this area? Can anyone explain what two wells per pad means?

Michael, I just received my first check six months after the well began production. But the check came from Cimarex, not Continental.

Hope your well is a good one.

Don, As you know I can navigate the OCC site pretty good but the problem with completion and production information is it’s just not there. So far the information I have on my well has come from the Contental field office. I guess I’ll keep calling them as long as they will talk to me.

Michael, our Continental well started producing August 8. We got our division orders in January and would have had our first check in February. There was a mistake in the division orders so they are being corrected, so now it will probably be March before we get our first check. Continental told me they had to get us our division orders in 6 months or pay interest, and we did get the division orders in 6 months. I doubt they will pay us interest for the time it takes to correct the division orders. I was told we would have to request it in writing.

Thanks Cathy Gail and Reed. I have heard that it takes an act of congress or at least a lawsuit to collect the interest!

I’m happy to announce that our well in Stephens Co. is now producing. Now for the dreaded wait for that first check. Can Larry Trook or anyone else thats been waiting for royaltys from Continental let me know how it’s going? Thanks, Mike

I will keep you posted on the declines.
