It would be more helpful if you gave the State, County, Section, section, township and range (or block, abstract name and number and section for TX). You also need to know your net mineral acres and your royalty and what well you are asking about . Sec 17 is way too generic to even begin to give an answer.

i am referencing lea co, nm I have 200 gross and 36.111111 NMA. S/2 OF N/2 AND NE/4 OF NE/4 OF SECTION 17,T25S, R36E, NMPM SURVEY. I have more detail in the “pending” message. there are 4 wells that have moved from drilled inactive to producing i am expecting to receive a request for div order. these seem to be pretty good wells archie smith
In general, the royalty interest is calculated using the net acres divided by the drilling unit spacing acres,royalty and perhaps a allocation factor or tract factor.
The original permits should have the drilling spacing unit on it. I found one of them and it was 320 acres. So you might try the following to get a ballpark idea. Your net acres/320 x your royalty.

If you are already getting paid on one of the other older Dogwood wells then the decimal may be similar.
It sounds like you have already entered int a lease. Did they not tell you the net acres in their offer latter at the time of the lease? It is a fair question to ask at any time as well as how they calculated it
